WHY is premarital sex such a taboo? Precisely because society wants to prevent unwanted babies. Babies born out of impulse. Babies that might eventually be abandoned and be left uncared for. Babies that might eventually grow to become parasites in the society.
The purpose of sex is to procreate. The pleasure brought by it is designed for organisms to want to procreate and ensure the continuity of species. At times, creatures might give in to such urges but as human beings, the only species capable of reason, we must be able to act rationally and responsibly.
